We were tasked by Discovery Network UK to create a long-term strategy that utilised video across their key social media channels.
Working with the UK marketing team we found that only 24% of their posts on social were video and so set about changing their approach.
Our ‘one team’ approach means we work as an internal resource for the Discovery UK team, setting out to define a strategy that drove huge volumes of video views. We look to create conversation not just content and have seen more than 2million social engagements.
We have driven more than 54million video views on Facebook alone and now 82% of all posts on Discovery social platforms are video.
Our approach has also looked to utilise Live video with broadcasts of achieve documentaries, TV simulcasts and show re-caps, with over 600K Live views.
Wilderness have transformed Discovery’s social strategy over the past 12 months, developing bespoke strategies for our 3 main social accounts and delivering record growth, particularly on Facebook.
