Extraordinary x Disney+

Disney+ approached us with a unique challenge; help drive engagement and excitement for our first UK original show but showing how it really doesn’t belong on Disney+.

So, how did we take this rude, crude take on a coming-of-age superhero story set in the UK that was now appearing on the platform and bring it to a young audience.

Extraordinary was a fresh, young UK show starring an almost unknown cast of young actors each with their own (slightly shit) superpower. At the time Disney+ was known as the home of Star Wars, Pixar, and Marvel with a deep history of family-friendly entertainment.

Our creative social-first content campaign led with introducing the characters and creating a shock-factor that connects with a young audience. We then looked to bring the actors to life using on-set intros, cast react videos, and interviews that drove talkability before culturally connecting with our audience through an array of meme content that put the show front and centre to the online conversation. 

Since the massive success of Season 1, achieving a 68% increase on projected VTR on TikTok, we have supported Disney+ with a sustain campaign, driving engagement on-set and throughout the broadcast of Season 2.
