Wilderness launch Kickstart scheme
We are proud to have launched a new Government-backed Kickster scheme to support out of work young people finding a career path into the creative industry.
The Fast Track Way; Media scheme will initially support up to 20, 16-24 years with 6-months worth of masterclass training and employability support in order to take their first steps into the industry. The aim of the scheme is to find the next generation of talent with the skills needed for a career in paid media planning and or buying.
The scheme is supported by The Opportunity Group who will provide employability training to the cohort of young people, YMCA is acting as the Kickstart broker and support with recruitment of talent through their network, and the scheme is lead by Wilderness Agency with masterclass sessions run by the Wilderness Social Academy, the agencies training and upskilling program.
Tilly Morgan, Operations and People Director at Wilderness Agency stated:
“Creating opportunities for young people in our industry is something I’m incredibly passionate about. Not only that but we have struggled in the past to find junior media planning and buying talent and increasingly found our pool getting smaller. Establishing the Fast Track Way scheme we aim to offer young people a chance to get into the industry and find ourselves a broader more diverse pool of young talent.
It’s a hugely exciting opportunity for us and we are delighted to be partnering with The Opportunity Group, who we know well, and YMCA who have a long history of supporting young people getting into work.
