From Freelance to Full-Time: Finding My Creative Voice with Pluto TV

When I joined the agency about a year and a half ago, I was coming from a freelance background. Suddenly, instead of juggling lots of small clients, I had the chance to dive deep into one of my biggest clients yet: Pluto TV.

Based in Berlin, I now spend my days working as a Creative for their German social media channels and honestly, it’s been a pretty wild ride.

So what does that actually look like day-to-day? The short answer: a mix of trend detective, content producer, and all-around brainstormer.

I usually start the day scrolling through TikTok and Instagram looking for whatever the internet is currently obsessed with.



From there, it’s about asking: “How could Pluto TV join this conversation in a way that feels fun and true to the brand?”



Sometimes that means writing a quick script, other times it’s cutting clips or editing memes.

Then there are the behind-the-scenes parts. Planning out campaigns, fine-tuning thumbnails, making sure everything we do ties back to the bigger picture.

Of course, not every idea makes it past the whiteboard. But that’s part of the thrill. My favorite moments are when something that started as a silly “what if…” thought in a meeting actually gets produced and goes live.

One of my personal highlights was when a tiny, funny idea, something I almost didn’t pitch, ended up becoming a short clip that really took off.

Seeing the audience laugh or engage with something that started as just a random spark in my head? That never gets old.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned along the way, it’s that being a Creative means staying curious and never getting too comfortable. Trends move fast, platforms change constantly, and you’ve got to be willing to try, fail, and try again.

My biggest tip: don’t wait around for permission. If you’ve got an idea, make it, post it, test it. That’s the best way to grow and who knows, that little side project could end up opening the next big door.
